Ms. Beth's Newsletter January 13th, 2017

Classroom News
This week we focused on Snow and Ice. We talked about what snow is, read Snow Day, had our first snow day, made whole body movements to make lines, used eye droppers and colored water to melt ice, and continued to practice our vocabulary from  The Mitten story.  In our small groups we made bird feeders with Cheerios and pipe cleaners, practiced writing lines, and made snow pal names.  We have started sending home Tucker the Turtle.  Tucker is a stuffed turtle that we use to help teach problem solving and emotion control.  If it is your child’s turn, there will be a black backpack that you will take home.  There are instructions in a binder inside the bag.  Have fun with Tucker!
