Ms. Beth's Newsletter January 27th, 2017

Classroom News
This week we focused on Polar animals.  We discussed the North and South poles, icebergs, kinds of polar animals and how they live, sang penguin songs, sorted “ice” pieces, built igloos, made a penguin, read Tacky the Penguin, and acted like a penguin or seal and tried fish with no hands!  In our small groups we watched a video about the Arctic and read our Weekly Reader, glued and cut an igloo with squares, and explored how and animals stay warm with blubber.  We have been able to go outside lately so please make sure your child has everything they need every day.  It is helpful to have the items labeled as well.  Thanks!
